Founded in
1943, The Technological Institute
of Textile & Sciences is a center
for research and education at the
undergraduate and graduate levels.
The institute has attached to it a
textile mill for training the
students under actual working
conditions and for conducting
research and perfecting the
processes necessary for an
incidental to manufacture of all
types of products. Students after
undergoing such practical
training, are fully equipped to
handle confidently and
independently the responsibilities
entrusted to them by the industry.
This association of a Textile Mill
with an Institute in Textile
Technology is unique in India and
not frequent even in the Western
World.
We promote knowledge through
research as well as practice, both
applied and conceptual, relevant
to management and engineering, and
to disseminate such knowledge
through publications.
